The Hub supported Plymouth City Council to find the most appropriate alternative low-carbon heat source to replace existing natural gas systems for the National Marine Aquarium and other heat users nearby.

Find out how renewable energy generation projects being developed by Southampton Council and Bath and West Community Energy were used to test the feasibility of the ‘complex site’ approach to improve the viability of the projects and local electricity supply.

The Hub has worked with South Gloucestershire Council to look at solutions to decarbonise heat in buildings that are located near former mine workings. 

The Hub worked with Cornwall Council to install a 230kW solar PV canopy system in the existing visitors car park at New County Hall providing renewable energy generation direct to the site to reduce operational costs.

The Hub worked with Crofty Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) in Cornwall to bring forward a self- funded pilot project installing roof-mounted solar PV at two of the Trust’s schools.

The Hub worked with Cornwall Council to establish a 30kW roof-mounted PV system at Stoke Climsland School.
